Welcome!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist offering individual psychotherapy for adults and consultation for parents of infants and young children. I provide a thoughtful, compassionate space to explore emotional challenges, life transitions, patterns in relationships, and the ways psychological distress can be experienced in the body. My work is informed by a biopsychosocial perspective that attends to the interplay between emotional, relational, and bodily experience.

My clinical work includes supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relational and interpersonal difficulties, questions of identity, and experiences related to immigration. I also offer short-term, skills-focused support around stress management, sleep difficulties, and cultivating healthy lifestyle practices. I work with people of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds and with individuals across a wide range of gender identities, including trans and queer clients. My practice is rooted in respect for each person’s unique history, culture, and lived experience. I offer psychotherapy and consultation in both English and Farsi.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy within a trauma-informed and relational framework. This means that our work attends to both present-day concerns and deeper emotional patterns shaped by early relationships and formative life experiences, all within a collaborative and attuned therapeutic relationship. When helpful, I also integrate elements of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to support practical coping and emotional regulation.

In addition to individual psychotherapy, I offer consultation to expecting parents and to parents of infants and toddlers, with a focus on attachment, early social-emotional development, sleep concerns, and the parent–child relationship. My work with parents is informed by developmental and attachment-based perspectives, with attention to the emotional experiences of both child and caregiver.

Beginning therapy takes courage. Whether you are seeking support for a specific difficulty or hoping to better understand yourself and your relationships, I strive to offer a thoughtful, grounded space that is attuned to your needs. My hope is to support your growth, deepen self-awareness, and foster meaningful change.
